Who can claim a badge?
Any company that appears on one of our current published lists - meaning ChatGPT named it in at least two of our checks when we ran the August 2026 benchmark. If you're on the list, the badge is yours, free.
Can I buy a badge?
No - and no one else can either. Badges can't be bought, and neither can a place on the list. The list is measured from what ChatGPT actually answers, and the badge only exists for companies on that measured list. Sponsored blocks elsewhere on the site are labeled advertising and never affect it. That's exactly why the badge is worth displaying.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The badge is free for every listed business, permanently. We never charge for it, and anyone claiming to sell one doesn't speak for us.
Why does the badge say "August 2026"?
Every badge is dated with the edition it was measured in, because the answers move. We re-run the benchmark each quarter; if you're on the next edition's list you can claim its badge too. The date keeps every badge honest - yours included.
Why doesn't the badge say I'm number one?
Because we can't prove it. When we asked the same questions twice on the same day, the top name changed in more than half the markets - and in most markets several companies were tied at the top anyway. What holds steady is how OFTEN a company gets named, so that's what the badge says: named in 3 of 4 checks, or 4 of 4. It's the part that survives a re-check, which makes it the part worth putting on your website.
